The Value of Struggle

Each action we take builds on the experiences we have. I was speaking with Taki Moore about this a week or so ago.
He considers himself the ‘chief wanter‘, meaning it’s his job to want, not to solve the problems or be in charge of producing the result.
There is value in taking longer if the skill will advance something greater. Not saying becoming an expert in transcription is worth your time but learning how someone new works that will increase transcription productivity might be worth the time, at least for the first few times.
The question is… does this action provide long term value to the company by me learning it, or does the company benefit more from a focus on something else.
That constant tradeoff should always be top of mind.
