Quit and Stay

The best people stay or quit. This is exemplified best by Derek Sivers Hell Yeah or No. Don’t be half into something. If you want to be in, go for it, but don’t quit on something and stay. This applies to everyday life and work.
  • Skip the meeting where you aren’t needed.
  • Ignore the email that doesn’t need your response.
  • Don’t go to the party / dinner if you don’t want to be there.
When you quit and stay, it unsurprisingly is noticed by everyone and detracts from everyone else’s experience. If you are a leader, having these people on your team is like an overripe banana, it is ok for a day, maybe, but that ethylene gas spreads and spoils the whole bunch much faster than we’d like to admit.
